The five-star Mount Juliet Estate in Kilkenny has unveiled exciting new dining and accommodation plans as it prepares to reopen to the public this month.
The multi-award-winning site has confirmed it will be back from June 29, following the government’s latest guidelines on lifting restrictions across the country.
The Mount Juliet team have prepared a range of innovative “stay-cation” packages to cater to the domestic market as more and more people seek the best the country has to offer, while restrictions on travel abroad remain in place.
Starting Monday, June 29, the estate’s historic mansion will offer an impressive array of food and treat options for foodies.
Visitors can soak up the grandeur of the magnificent mansion and its spectacular surroundings, as it opens for all-day meals and afternoon tea.
Or you can experience the best of fine dining at the Michelin-starred Lady Helen, which was officially recognized as one of the best restaurants in Ireland and the UK earlier this year after the AA got it. changed from an establishment classified three rosettes to a restaurant classified four rosettes in its last guide.
Mount Juliet Estate has also prepared a range of affordable accommodation packages as it refocuses its offering to meet increasing demand in the domestic market.
Siobhán O ‘Sullivan, director of sales and marketing at Mount Juliet Estate, said the place has been inundated with booking requests in recent weeks as the country accelerates the exit from the lockdown.
“The interest has been phenomenal and we are delighted that we were able to tailor our specific food and accommodation offering to directly address the large number of people who will be vacationing closer to home this summer,” said Siobhan.
