Refreshed Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace unveiled
Say hello to the new and improved Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace – the larger variant of the popular crossover.
With a slew of styling changes, new tech, and a seven-seat option, it’s expected to arrive later in the year. Here’s what you need to know.
Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace exterior
On the outside, the Tiguan Allspace receives the same updates as the standard car that received earlier this year. This means a new look at the front and rear that includes new lights.
Up front there are LED headlights and a light bar that stretches across the top of a redesigned grille. At the rear there is a new LED taillight pattern, while scrolling indicators were also introduced for the first time.
Interior and technology of the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace
Come in and it’s the same story; you’ll find similar tech additions we’ve seen on the smaller Tiguan before. This includes the addition of a digital driver display to all trim levels.
There have also been slight ergonomic changes, with the infotainment system now controlling the air conditioning – now everything is done via the updated touchscreen setup.
Further technological improvements are the optional travel assistance system. It adds safety and convenience technologies such as semi-autonomous driving capabilities.
In terms of space, however, there is no change: there is still 700 liters of trunk space and an option to specify the vehicle as seven seats – ideal for families.
Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace transmission
UK specs need to be confirmed, but from launch the refreshed car will be available with one of five engine options; three oils and two diesel options.
You can choose between a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic, as is standard at VW. We’ll bring you exact performance and economy details when they’re revealed.
Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace release date
We don’t know a release date yet, but we estimate that the Tiguan Allspace will be available in the second half of 2021. Expect it to fetch list prices between £ 30,000 and £ 40,000.
We will have full details on the trim level and pricing in the coming months.
