The Royals are desperate for the three points as they seek to secure their first win in seven matches.

Veljko Paunovic’s last home game saw them beaten 7-0 by Fulham and although they produced a better performance at the weekend, it was the same result as they were beaten 2-1 at Middlesbrough.

Luton, meanwhile, have won three of their last four games and beat top-flight Bournemouth on Saturday with a last-minute winner.

Reading start the day 21st in the table and can move up two places with a win and if Hull fail to beat Blackburn.

A win for Town will see them climb four places to 11th.
