Reading FC squad full for West Bromwich Albion clash with Halilovic and Tetek set for return

Reading FC are back in the league this afternoon (Saturday) as they take on West Bromwich Albion in their final game of the season at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

The pressure eased for the Royals after their league safety was guaranteed last week, despite a 3-0 loss at Hull City. Barnsley and Peterborough United both lost their must-win clashes to Huddersfield Town and Nottingham Forest respectively, meaning both will join Derby County in League One next season.

On Saturday, Paul Ince’s men will come up against a West Brom side who have failed to live up to expectations this season. After suffering relegation from the Premier League last season, Baggies’ hopes of an immediate return quickly evaporated as they slumped to mid-table due to a poor run of just seven wins since november.

With just two games to play, Reading suffered a triple whammy after Paul Ince confirmed that Tom Holmes, Tom Ince and Femi Azeez would be out for the rest of the season. Holmes and Azeez have missed the last two games through illness and injury respectively, while Ince picked up an ankle injury in last week’s loss to Hull.

The Royals will also be without long-term absentees John Swift, Scott Dann, Any Rinomhota and Felipe Araruna, but Paul Ince says Alen Halilovic and Dejan Tetek will have a role to play in the final two games of the season. Here is the Reading FC squad available to face West Bromwich Albion:

Guardians : Luke Southwood, Orjan Nyland, James Holden, Jokull Andresson.

Defenders : Andy Yiadom, Michael Morrison, Baba Rahman, Ethan Bristow, Imari Samuels, Terrell Thomas, Tyrell Ashcroft, Nelson Abbey, Kelvin Abrefa, Lynford Sackey, Jack Senga, Louie Holzman, Tom McIntyre.
