Reading FC goalkeeper Rafael Cabral delivers verdict on QPR ahead of league clash
Rafael Cabral insists Reading FC will need to be at their best against Queens Park Rangers when the Championship returns this weekend.
After a game-less weekend, the Royals will return to action when Mark Warburton’s QPR visit Select Car Leasing Stadium on Saturday, with Reading seeking just a second win of the season.
It was a difficult start to the season for the Royals, with five losses in six games in all competitions, as well as injuries to key players including Yakou Meite and Lucas Joao.
As such, Reading currently sits 21st in the table with just three points, while their opponents this weekend have had a strong start to the season, collecting 11 points in their first five games to come third.
But while there can be eight points and 18 places between the two teams at the start of the season, Reading goalkeeper Rafael insists they are capable of securing a result.
“They are a good team and they are in good shape,” said the goalkeeper of QPR, talk to the club site.
“They started off really well so we know it will be difficult.
“But we are ready. We can play against everyone, if we do our job and play the way we like to play. This is the most important thing. “

Meanwhile, the Brazilian believes Royals fans can help make a difference in Berkshire, with the 31-year-old calling on fans to play their part to help turn things around.
“Our fans made the difference when we won against Preston,” he said.
“We had a tough end to the game, but they kept us in the game, pushed us forward and we won our three points.
“We play for them. We play for ourselves, for the club, for our family, but we also play for our fans. We want to see them all happy, and we appreciate it more when they are also happy. “
