Grove River Machinery, located in Richmond Hill, Georgia, is now a National Equipment Dealers (NED) business.
NED has completed the acquisition of Grove River Machinery, which will expand the NED organization in Georgia.
âWith this merger, Grove River Machinery opens an exciting new chapter in our 20-year history,â said Dale Richbourg, former sales manager at Grove River Machinery. âOur merger with NED will provide us with the means to grow our Hyundai market share well beyond our past capabilities. “
About Grover River
According to NED, Ken Richburg started Grove River 20 years ago, primarily as a heavy equipment rental and finance company that was originally known as Grove River Leasing. Over the years, the company changed its name to Grove River Machinery as it grew from an equipment finance business to a more traditional heavy equipment dealership.
âBuilding strong relationships and investing in our clients has always been the key to our success over the years,â says Richbourg. “Our founder, Ken Richbourg has always believed in partnering with our clients and helping them grow.”
Grove River Machinery has represented the Hyundai product line in the greater Savannah, Ga. Area for the past 14 years, according to NED.
Merger and name change
Grove River Machinery will become NED’s 14th location and the first in Georgia. The branch will continue to represent Hyundai Construction Equipment, according to NED, but will expand its offering to include Bell articulated haulers, as well as other products in the future.
âThe Grove River Acquisition is a continuation of NED’s success in expanding scale, filling geographic gaps and expanding reach through attractively valued and funded mergers and acquisitions. Said Will Blackerby, vice president of the fleet at NED.
The new Savannah site will be renamed NED in line with NED’s company-wide rebranding strategy.
âAs Hyundai dealers, we have known the Richburg family and Grove River Machinery for many years,â says Mitch Nevins, CEO of NED. âThe time is right and we are delighted to make them part of the NED family. We look forward to investing time and resources in Georgia to expand our customer base with Hyundai, Bell Trucks and other products.
