J2790 – Collector – 12M FTC – United Kingdom, Thames Valley / Bucks

J2790 – Our client is looking for a collector on a 12 month FTC contract to use your negotiation and customer service skills to minimize business losses by collecting all late rentals in a timely manner by phone, mail and email; drive out late rents and minimize the number of agreements subject to legal collections.

Salary: £ 23,000 – £ 27,000 plus great bonuses and benefits. Location: United Kingdom, Thames Valley / Bucks

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Minimize customer arrears by pursuing debts by phone, letter and email, complying with collection guidelines and UK law.

• Maximize recoveries in insolvency cases by working quickly to determine if there are potential buyers for the insolvent business or our equipment (and in cases where there are none, quickly follow up on the deal for the termination and increase of our equipment).

• Resolve customer complaints by involving introducers and members of the internal sales team, as appropriate.

• Make sure the client maintains their rentals while we assist them.

• Adhere to collections guidelines to ensure that all collection activities meet specified compliance requirements.

• Escalate any potential issues on deals where the client has high exposure.

• Achieve all the KPIs and objectives set.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Good knowledge and understanding of UK insolvency and consumer credit laws.

• Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

• A first experience within the collection is essential for this opportunity.

• Ideally, you will have knowledge of contracts and consumer credit as well as experience with banking, leasing or financing agreements.

• Good knowledge of asset finance products, structures and documentation would be an asset.
