How Reading FC received a Championship giveaway after Blackpool’s result against Hull City

Reading FC could climb two places in the championship after a misstep by Hull City.

The Tigers’ trip to Blackpool on Saturday afternoon was the only Championship game to take place due to the postponement of Sheffield United against Middlesrbough and Coventry City against Luton Town.

A victory for Grant McCann’s side would have given Hull a five-point lead over the Royals, but they were defeated after conceding a penalty in the first half.
