Frasers Group has confirmed it will occupy space at Barnsley’s The Glass Works – Retail Times
Queensberry announced the signing of luxury brand Flannels, the latest brand to join The Glass Works in Barnsley, ahead of its launch later this year. Construction of the final phase of The Glass Works continued efficiently in accordance with government guidelines and work is expected to be completed in September.
Taking an 11,000 square foot unit, Frasers Group has signed a 10 year lease in the brand new large commercial, leisure and community destination in the heart of downtown alongside flagship stores NEXT, TK Maxx and Sports Direct. Owned by the Fraser Group, the new Flannels store located at the unique location of The Glass Works will bring luxury clothing, footwear and accessories for men, women and children from the most coveted designer brands to Barnsley and the region. The Glass Works – Barnsley Council’s multi-million pound town center regeneration program is part of a major Barnsley Council plan, supported by Queensberry development management specialists, to regenerate the town center. The Glass Works is part of a larger city regeneration program aimed at making Barnsley an even stronger social, cultural and tourist destination, which will introduce a unique range of national retail and leisure brands, including Cineworld , Superbowl UK and Deichmann, as well as the inclusion of community uses such as Library @ The Lightbox and with Barnsley’s historic Market and Market Kitchen also at the heart of the development.
