Bolt enables medical practitioners to access mobility – TechEconomy.ng

Bolt, the largest ride-sharing platform in Nigeria, has granted the Lagos Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) access to free on-demand mobility through its Bolt business platform. This program is one of Bolt’s many CSR initiatives to help organizations advance their goals and purpose.

The Nigerian Medical Association is the registered professional association for Nigerian doctors covering the six major medical specialties. The association collaborates on specific projects on health issues with public and private organizations to achieve its program of improving the delivery of health services to Nigerians. In partnership with Bolt, medical practitioners will have fast and affordable access to Bolt rides, giving them unfettered access to their duty.

Speaking on the partnership, Abisola Odukoya Nigeria, Public Policy Specialist, said, “We are committed to the welfare of those who kept us going at the height of the pandemic. This remains a priority for us and as such we are continually looking for ways to contribute to their well-being.

The partnership with the Nigerian Medical Association is important to us as we understand the importance of access to resources and solutions to make certain things convenient for them. We will continue to implement our CSR initiatives to empower and enable our communities to build cities around people.”

The president of the NMA, Lagos Chapter, Dr. Tajudeen Salau, shared his enthusiasm for the support. He said, “The Bolt CSR at NMA Lagos is a carefully selected type of CSR that provides physicians with comfort in performing their duty and also allows patients to receive care more easily than usual.”

In line with its commitment to civil society, Bolt will continue to be a socially responsible platform that contributes to and partners with organizations that support the communities in which it operates. Bolt will continue to seek such partnerships with relevant stakeholders to create a direct positive impact on society and communities.
